This course is ideal to initiate children aged 4+ to 6 years into the wonderful world of music. In this course, we will introduce the basic elements of music such as Steady beat , Tempo, Pitch and swaras. The aim is to get children interested in music. The learning is made interesting through story narration and fun songs. The musical concepts are taught and reinforced through fun activities. The students will also learn 5- 6 songs, which would be in English, Hindi and a regional/foreign language. The variety of songs will help build appreciation of music in children.

Course Format

Batch Size: 3 (online), 15 (in-campus)

Duration: 12 weeks, one 45 mins lesson per week

Objectives

  • Understand pitch as an element of sound and distinguish between high and low pitch
  • Learn  the seven swaras and their relative positions
  • Learn steady beat and Tempo
  • Learn dynamics and distinguish between loud and soft 
  • Learn 5 or more age relevant songs in English, Hindi and one Indian/Foreign language song

Students will be able to :

  • Able to sing a repertoire of songs in English, Hindi and an Indian/ Foreign language.
